INFORMATION FOR GETTING AN INTERNATIONAL HEALTH CERTIFICATE

If you are traveling internationally with your pet, please schedule an appointment with one of our USDA accredited veterinarians. The U.S. accredited veterinarian program is a voluntary program that certifies private veterinary practitioners to work cooperatively with Federal veterinarians and State animal health officials. Dr. Carbonell and Dr. Lippman are both USDA certified veterinarians in our office.

We ask that, prior to your appointment, you obtain the current export requirements for your destination country from the Veterinary Service office in your area. The nearest office is located near JFK International Airport. Their phone number is 718-553-3570. Alternatively, you may call the consulate of the country to which you are traveling.

Documents pertaining to vaccinations, particularly rabies, are critical and should be forwarded to our office prior to your appointment if possible. Any other relevant information should also be forwarded.
