Dr. Lindsey Thomas grew up in Westchester County, New York and for as long as she can remember always wanted to be a veterinarian. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University where she had the opportunity to work with and study lemurs in a natural forest habitat.
After graduation she moved to Australia and completed her Veterinary Science degree at the University of Sydney. While working as a small animal veterinarian in Brisbane, she developed a strong interest in dermatology, while participating in a drug trial for the treatment of skin allergies in dogs. She is also very interested in soft tissue surgery. In her free time in Brisbane, Lindsey volunteered for an organization that raises and trains puppies to become helper dogs for physically disabled individuals.
Dr. Thomas came back to New York in 2014 and is excited to be working as a veterinarian in her home city. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband, two dogs, Andre and Daphne and Murray the cat.
