LICENSED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN
Gotham Veterinary Center is looking for an experienced licensed veterinary technician to join our AAHA accredited, full-service Manhattan hospital on the upper west side. This is a full time position consisting of a 4-day work week, including Saturdays, with some flexibility in days possible. Each person on our team plays an integral role in providing excellent medical care to our patients and premier customer service to our clients. Candidate must be a friendly, compassionate and self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills.
Job duties include treatment and care of hospitalized animals, surgical preparation and surgical nursing care, monitoring of anesthesia and assisting doctors with exams and treatments. Duties will also include ability to autoclave equipment, set up intravenous fluids and constant rate infusions, give oral and parenteral medications and fill prescriptions and keep accurate medical notes.
